Welcome and Installation

Well, good morning everyone, welcome. We’re so glad you joined us this morning. Welcome to our special guest. We have a lot of friends who have other home churches who are joining us. Welcome to you guys. And if this is your first time, welcome to you as well. You actually came to a very special service because this morning we are installing Pastors David and Jordan as our new lead pastors. Yeah, give it up.

And you know, we believe this service isn’t just symbolic. It’s not just kind of like for show, but we believe something spiritual is gonna happen here this morning. In Deuteronomy 34, when Joshua is becoming the leader of Israel. It says that when Moses laid his hands on him, that a spirit of wisdom came upon him. And so we’re believing the same thing for David and Jordan. We’re believing that they’re gonna get a fresh anointing, a new anointing, and a renewed anointing of what’s already been placed in their lives. They are dear friends of mine, and I’m excited to see what’s gonna happen in their lives, what God’s gonna do in their lives in this church and in this city.

But if you don’t know, this church has celebrated its 44th birthday, 44 years. And we can tell you so many miracles, so many times God’s been faithful in those 44 years, but we know he’s not done. Because in Matthew 18, Jesus says, I will build this church. It’s not a man-made idea, it’s God’s church, and so he’s gonna build it, and we know he’s gonna be faithful to complete his word. So we’re gonna lift him up, we’re gonna sing about that this morning. Let’s sing it out.

Oh, mercy with the morning sun, and hope when I am hanging by a threat. Oh, every time I look for it, I find your faithfulness again. Thank you, oh water in the wheelness. Oh my defender in the lion’s thing. Yes, every time I look for it I find your faithfulness again. We think faithfulness. A temporary too was sealed by stone. But he couldn’t keep it in. Oh no, we could it now that he is conquered for tell me what’s in parts with both for him. Cause it’s the Lord my God is on my side. Then who can be against no one, no one faithfulness, faithful life. You never run out of faithfulness, faithfulness. Whoa, faithfulness, faithful now. You never run out of faithfulness, faithfulness, faithfulness, faithful now. You never run out of faithfulness, faithfulness, whoa, faithfulness, faithful now, you never run out of faithfulness. For the breath in my arms. Oh, thank you, Jesus. For the things to come for the things you’ve done for the breath in my arms. Oh thank you, Jesus. Hi, Believer Center of Albuquerque. My name’s Jared Neiman from Abundant Church in El Paso. And I just want to congratulate David and Jordan for being installed as the lead pastors. We know that God’s hand is on you. You are anointed, and the best days are ahead for your amazing church. At the same time, we want to honor Pastors Marshall and Cindy for 44 years of leading the church, leading people to Jesus, getting people filled with the Holy Spirit. I can’t imagine the thousands of people that have been saved. Marriage is restored, lives getting better, going forward into the abundant life because of your leadership and your service to God. We honor you. We love you all. We’re praying for all of you, and we know that revival is coming to Albuquerque and to Believer Center.

Pastors Marshall and Cindy, we just want to say congratulations on 44 years of excellence in ministry. And Pastors David and Jordan, congratulations on taking the lead. Absolutely. Pastor Marshall and Cindy, thank you for the example that you did set. Thank you for the stewardship of Albuquerque. Thank you for running your race with passion, with care, and setting the example for this next generation.

Hi, we’re Brandon and charity Kerrent from Omaha, Nebraska. And we just wanted to join in the celebration today. Yeah, we are so excited for Believer Center. We’ve been great friends with David and Jordan for years now. And to Marshall and Cindy, 44 years of ministry. Absolutely. And I think of the incredible legacy that you’ve built. And now handing it over to David and Jordan. What an incredible legacy generationally of what God is going to do. This is a fabulous day. 44 years, Marshall and Cindy. And we were able to spend 10 years serving you and the ministry at Believers Center. Congratulations. New chapters opening, new adventures coming up. And we’re so happy for all four of you. 44 years, quite an accomplishment. And David and Jordan, you guys just continue it on for another 44, 50 years.

Hey Believer Center, Mark McGathan with Higher Vision Church in Ventura, California. And I just want to say a huge congratulations to Pastors Jordan and David as they step into this new role as lead pastors. My wife and I have been so blessed over the years by the Townsleys and the Eiffers. They’re some of the most kind and genuine people that we know. And we really believe in this new season the church is going to be blessed, and the city is going to be blessed by what God is doing there in your church. Can’t wait to see all that happens. On his unchanging grave in every heart for me. I could hold within my hope within the law. We make strong in the same as love through the law. He is the love his love of weakness through that store. We make strong in the same life through the straw. He is the Lord. He shall come with trumpet sound in his right alone for this stand before his throne. And honor to you love your love who restores God a firm foundation, for foundation, you love restore us God. Stand on your love, trust no other way, Christ alone Christ. He is Lord of all.

He is Lord of All

Do you know that to the very core of your being this morning? He is Lord of all. Can we just pray? Let’s just go to God together. All of us, do you get the picture? We’re all crowding into the throne room. It probably won’t be crowded. There’ll be plenty of room for everybody that wants to be there. But God, we’re so grateful to you this morning that you made a way. You made a way through Jesus Christ. For every you, every human on the earth in any generation to find their way into your presence to come to the very place that you created us to live in and live fully from. We are a grateful people. That we have been welcomed by the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the God of glory, Almighty one. Thank you, God. Thank you, Lord God. Can you say a thank you to God this morning? Thank you, God. Amen, amen, amen. I’m telling you, standing in the presence of God, worshiping with believers, it never gets old. This isn’t all we’re gonna be doing in heaven, but we are gonna be doing this, and we’re all gonna sound as good as Amaya and Melinda. Amen.

Legacy Sunday Offering

We believe that this is an act of worship that we bring to God and church. I just want to report to you what you did last Sunday. Last Sunday for those of you that were not with us was Legacy Sunday. We do this annually. Every year, we one Sunday a year in September, we receive an over and above offering that is beyond what we usually bring in ties and offerings, and we bring that to God so that we can make certain that we keep this home base strong and well prepared for all the ministry that goes out from this place. And so last week you gave 57,163 and 85 cents. And it weighed 40 pounds. Next year, parents, your kids are in their little gift, their little jar, the coin rollers will be in the jar. Okay, just saying. And if you want to help us take that $57,163 up to $100,000, we just need about 43,000 more. We can help you write that out this morning if you need it. Or million is still spelled M I L L I O N. Pastor Marshall and I have believed all along, and we have had people tell us that they were going to donate a million dollars at one time. Today would be a great day. Just saying.

Let me read these verses of scripture to you from First Chronicles and chapter 29. Because in 1 Chronicles 29, just think about this. People of God in the days of King David were willingly bringing offerings to the King of Kings. Not David, God the Father. And here we are, thousands of years later, children of God, willingly bringing our offerings to our heavenly Father. And he prayed this. David prayed much. That first Chronicles 29 is an absolute testimony to the greatness of God and how well David knew it. In verse 11, he said,

Yo, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty for all that is in the heavens and the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and yours it is to be exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you reign over all. In your hands are power and might. In your hands, it is to make great and to give strength to all. Now, therefore, our God, we thank you, we praise your glorious name and those attributes which that name denotes. I know also, my God, that you try the heart and you delight in uprightness. In the uprightness of my heart, I have freely offered all these things, and now I have seen with joy your people who are present here, offer voluntarily and freely to you. O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our fathers, keep forever such purposes and thoughts in the minds and the imagination of your people, and direct and establish their hearts toward you.

Can you say amen to that prayer? May that ever be so that God keeps forever his purposes and his thoughts in our minds and in our imaginations and our hearts forever and always directed towards Him. When our hearts are towards God, us willingly and freely bringing offering to God is the easiest thing we ever do in all of our lives. May he keep that in us. Amen, church. Amen. Hey Believers Center, it’s Jesse Luscoe coming to you from Portland, Oregon. And I am just so thrilled for David and Jordan stepping into their new role. David’s a friend of mine, and he’s someone who’s honestly had an impact on people in my family. He’s someone that I trust who I would direct people to. I just am so thrilled for he and Jordan stepping into their new role. Also just amazed by Pastor Marshall and Cindy, who have served Jesus faithfully for 44 years. That is so rare. It’s an example that I want to follow. But I’m just thrilled for what’s ahead for your church, what’s ahead for Believers Center, and what’s ahead for David and Jordan.

Believers Center, this is such an exciting day for you guys. I’m excited to watch this transition from some of the best pastors on earth to some of the best pastors on earth. Pastors Marshall and Cindy, I love both of you. Thank you so much for pouring it to so many people for so many years. You truly are pastors of pastors. Pastors David and Jordan, I love both of you so much, and I’m excited to see God work in you and through you. He’s gonna use your church to radically transform this city.

The pastors, Marshall and Cindy. I just want to say what a special thing it is to answer God’s call on your life to run that race to the very end and do it well. And we know that this isn’t the end of the race, this is just the beginning of the next season for you. And for Pastors David and Jordan. There’s a lot ahead. God’s already been speaking to you. He’s already been guiding you, He’s already been preparing you for this. This is a great time for Believer Center.

Believer Center, congratulations. What an incredible day this is for you. Jordan, David, I hope you know how much the Neimans love you. We support you, we’re praying for you, we believe in you, and you know what? We are so excited to continue building God’s kingdom right alongside you. Marshall and Cindy, I honor you today for everything you have done, for everything that you have built, and for everything that God will continue to do in you and through you as we walk forward together in building people’s lives. The Neimans love you all so much. Here’s to an incredible future.

Hey, Pastor Marshall, Pastor Cindy, Pastor David, Pastor Jordan, and Believer Center Congregation, God bless y’all, Pastor Al and Tava. And we just want to say to each and every one of you, we are so excited about the change, the new season that is getting ready to take place at Believer Center. Pastor Marshall, Pastor Cindy, forty-four years. Absolutely incredible. Lives just you can’t even number how many lives have been touched and changed. And Pastor David, Pastor Jordan, we’re so excited. I want to say this to you. Be strong and be courageous. Do everything that God puts in your heart to do. Don’t ever, ever think in any way, shape, or form that you are limited in any way, shape, or form. You are fully equipped by God to do everything that the Lord has called you to do. You’ve got a great season, seasons in front of you of all that God is going to do. So just do this. Seek the will of God every single day. Pray and seek Him because what you are now living has already been written, and there’s a great future in front of you. Go and take it. So it’s our honor to partner with you guys here at Covenant Love Church, knowing that we’re all growing together in the kingdom, and God is gonna continue to do magnificent things through you there. We’re so excited that all that’s going to take place and happen. And Believer Center, I want to say this it’s going to be one of the most exciting times that you have ever experienced as you watch this legacy continue multi-generational, continue to move forward. And I believe that in Albuquerque, right from where you are, you’re going to be a major lighthouse. And there’s going to be an explosion of the spirit that’s going to take place. And get ready for I believe the harvest is coming in. Love you guys.

Hello, Believer center. What a great, great day in the history of your fabulous church. You know, I wish I could be there in person, but obviously I can’t. So I am so happy to send congratulations from all of us here in El Paso. Congratulating, first of all, your senior and founding pastors, Marshall and Cindy. 44 years of pastoring your great church, being a voice, being light, being salt in Albuquerque and your entire surrounding region and some of my dearest friends. And I also want to welcome your new lead pastors, Jordan and David. What a great day. What a great occasion to see the lamp being passed, the new torch being handed down. What a great thing. Prayers are with you. I believe for a great future. We build on that which has already been built. And you know, we’re all a part of the revelation given to the Apostle Paul. And we stand on those great shoulders, amen, to make a difference in our community. Remember, it is the cause of Christ that you do all this for. And I send my love and from Shannon and Jared and all of us here at Abundant in El Paso. Congratulations. Expecting great things to happen. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Wonderful.

Honoring Friends and Pastors on the Platform

Good morning. What a great day. Let’s give God praise and let’s honor him. From the depth of our heart, hold nothing back. Come on, let’s lift the roof. Let’s raise the roof. God, we love you. We thank you. We honor you today. There’s simply no one like you in all the universe. And you have welcomed us into your presence. You’ve welcomed us in your continuing life’s work, Jesus, in building the church. We are honored today, God, by your presence. We’re thankful that you’re here to help us as we cross another bridge and another transition. This one is key. We’re looking to you and we thank you that you’ve already made provision. You saw the need as you normally do before we had it. And you made provision for it. And now you’re filling it with an overflowing supply. We receive that today. We thank you as service progresses today. That every single one of us will sense that what’s happening here on earth, you’re watching, you’re a part of. You declared it. You planned it before we planned it. And help us to move in the spirit by his leading and his power. Make the words come easy. God, our actions, we pray honor you in every way. Thank you, Lord. You’re welcome here in Jesus’ name. Everybody said amen. Again, let’s put our hands together and just say, we love you, Lord. I’ll keep you on your feet for just another minute or two.

You know, we came out to the auditorium, and I’m looking at these first three rows in particular. So many of our dear friends have come into town, or those who live here have joined us, pastors that we love doing life with, and we love doing what we do with. In fact, I’m thinking that how much harder, how much more difficult what we’re doing today would be without the help and the strength that each one of these I’m gonna cry a little bit, have brought into my life into Sydney’s life. I’m looking at again, pastors and friends. Gordon, Mary, thank you for being here. Came all the way from Arizona. Josh came all the way from Washington, Seattle area, or somewhere up in there. Phil and Mary are here from Arizona. Is that where you’re living now? Okay. The only ones that aren’t here today who have served as our board members are in heaven. I’ve got Louise with me. I’ve got Rod Schlegel with me. Hart Kaplan with me. Don Cruz is in heaven. And so is Larry Tuttle. It’s wonderful to see Ruperta, who’s our personal assistant for so many years. And then all of these here on the second row. Pastors, thank you for taking the time. Can we give them a big welcome? Really big. Really big. Just special. And our occasion is special.

So I don’t know how I could have done this myself without the help of the man who’s going to come and speak to us for a few minutes today. He’s a board member as well. He has served us for many years. He’s a friend of ours, dear friend of ours, but a dear friend of the church. He loves you so much. And he believes in you. And he’s got a few things that he wants to pass on to us today before we pass the torch. It’s going to be so powerful. I already sense it in the spirit. And Phil Baldez, thank you for coming. Valerie. Thank you for coming. Is it Gavin? I was going to guess right. From California, and they’ve got a special little gift and presentation they want to do with David and Jordan. So again, I just run out of words trying to introduce Pastor to you. Some of you, he needs no introduction. Some of you, he pastors a great church in Odessa, Texas. Odessa Christian Faith Center, and we just love him. And so I want you to love him with me and welcome him to the platform today.

Jesus Is Lord

Well, Jesus is our Savior, He’s our baptizer with Holy Spirit, He’s our healer, He’s our provider. Jesus is Lord. We’re here because of Jesus, because of who he is, what he’s done for us, how much he loves us. He’s seated at the right hand of our Heavenly Father, ever living to make intercession for you and me. Give him praise today. Would you please? He’s so honorable, he’s so wonderful. God bless you all. Want to turn to just one person and say you’re at the right place at the right time, then you may be seated.

Wow, forty-four years. My goodness, I wasn’t even born when you started. I just want you to know right now that the senior and founding pastors of this church are not retiring. They’re moving to Old Design to be with me. Just so you know that. Not really. Not really. But they’re staying on. They’re not going anywhere. You’ve got them for life. Huh? You got them for life. You couldn’t kick them enough if you wanted to. But Pastors Marshall and Cindy, I honor you. My church honors you. My wife honors you. Our staff honors you. 44 years of diligence, of faithfulness. When I think of you two, I think the number one thing I think of is spirituality. You’re very spiritual in a good way. Not in a judgmental way, in a religious way, but in a loving way. And you’re non-compromisers. That’s one thing I love about both of you. You do not compromise. You do not compromise the word of God. You don’t compromise the vision that God put in your heart for this city and for this church. I honor that today. I honor what God is doing through you, what he’s done through you, what he’s going to do through you in the coming years. Would you give them a great big hand clap? God bless you. We love you.

And Pastors David and Jordan, well, I’ve known you for birth, some from birth. David, Johnny come lately. But I love you two kids. I got to marry them. I had the honor of marrying these kids, and they’re just precious. They’re precious. And you two are going to be phenomenal. You already are phenomenal. And I’m very excited about where God’s taking you. Now, you know, when I come to this church, I always like to bring a seed gift. And so I heard Pastor Cindy talk about the hundred thousand dollars. I heard her talk about a little over 40,000 still needed. So I brought a $10,000 seed for you. Amen. And I’m gonna give it to this pastor right here, not to that one. This one right here. Amen. And I know that seed is going into good ground and reduce even the harvest back into our ministry. Amen.

So we all know from Ephesians chapter 4, the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul said to us that when Jesus ascended, he gave some gifts unto men. Some apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, listen for the equipping, the perfecting of the saints, you to do the work of the ministry, which is the edifying the building up of the body of Christ. And so fivefold ministries, a special calling that God places on men and women in cities and in regions of the world. And I know sometimes guys just go and open up churches because they feel like they want to do that. But I personally believe there’s a calling on a five-fold minister, that he’s called to a locale, to a region. And you know, pastors Marshall and Cindy, they’re Texans, but they’re the Mexicans now. They were called to this area, and I honor that.

Feed the Flock of God

And so the apostle Peter shares with us some thoughts of what it is to fulfill the ministry. I want to share a few of these thoughts with you today, with the whole congregation, but especially with Pastors David and Jordan. In 1 Peter chapter 5, beginning of verse 1, Peter writes to us,

the elders which are among you, I exhort, talking about the elders being pastors here, who am also an elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed. He says in verse 2, feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly, not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind. Neither is being lords over God’s heritage, but being examples to the flock.

So I read for the King James with the more modern translations, when it says here in verse 2, in the King James feed the flock, most modern translations say shepherd the flock. Well, this word happens to be a Greek word poimane, which means to shepherd. It means to pastor. And that’s what God has called pastors to do, to shepherd people, to feed people. The Bible says in Jeremiah 23:4, I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them.

So we live in a world today that’s Topsy Turvy, you all know that. We live in a weird world today, a corrupt world, and yet, if there’s anything that’s needed today, is the word of God. God’s word is alive and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. His word is a lamp unto our feet, a light unto our path. So Pastors David and Jordan, God is saying, feed the sheep. People need to be knowledgeable of the word of God. They need to know how to be equipped to minister to people. I tell my church, in fact, the very first service I had back in December of 1981, I said, Listen, I’m here to equip you. I don’t expect you to call me at 2 a.m. in the morning when your cat’s up a tree for me to come get the cat. I’m gonna teach you how to get the cat. I’m gonna equip you to get the cat. So that’s what we’re called to do is to equip you so that you know how to minister. You know how to lay hands on the sick, you know how to speak the word, you know how to pray, you know how to live your life in public and behind closed doors. Feed the sheep, feed them. Study. The Bible says, Study the soul yourself, approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

And then Paul tells a young pastor about your age right now, Timothy. He says in 2 Timothy chapter 4, beginning of verse 1, he says,

I charge you, I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by in the light of his coming and his kingdom, verse 2, he says, Herald and preach the word.

Keep your sense of urgency. We’re living in dangerous times right now. We’re living in perilous times right now. And so we ministers, we have to have a sense of urgency to do what he’s telling us to do, to herald and preach the word, to stand by, be at hand and ready, whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable. And I know you’ve already learned this, but not everybody wants the word. Some people want to stay religious. And that I remember when I first started pastoring our church within just six months or so, man, I was getting all kinds of blowback. I’m telling you, and you know, I was very young and naive and dumb, and I didn’t understand that. I thought everybody wanted the word. And so finally I went to the Lord and I said, Lord, I’m getting all this blowback in my life right now for teaching the word. And I said, What’s the deal? And he spoke words to me. Sometimes I just usually hear God by thoughts or impressions, but he spoke words to my heart. And he said to me, son, he said, You’re preaching a word that these people have never heard. Because what they have heard is do’s and don’ts and regulations and religion. They’ve never heard the word of God. And so their flesh is fighting them. And that’s why they’re acting out right now. And he said, just be patient with them. Just love them. Be patient with them because they will come around. And I can say for sure, they will come around when you herald and preach the word. He said, whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as a preacher of the word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong. People don’t know how to live right, they don’t know how. They have to be taught the same way parents have to teach their children. He said, and convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflacking and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.

So my first charge to both of you feed the sheep. Make that your priority. Feed the sheep. Study. Study, study, talk the word. Be around people that talk the word. Be around the word all the time in your life so that when you hit this pulpit and any time during the day, you’re a walking billboard of the word of God. God’s word saves and heals and delivers.

Take the Oversight Willingly

And then, secondly, he said, take the oversight willingly, not by constraint. The word oversight is the Greek word episcopals. It just means to oversee by implication, to beware, to look diligently, to make sure that you’re being cautious as to who comes in your church that wants to upend the church. That people won’t come in and we’ll they’ll test you. I guarantee you, pastors Marshall and Sindney were tested. I was tested. All these pastors have been tested. People will come in to test you, but you have to make sure that you take the oversight. I’ve had people come in, what I call parking lot prophets. They get out in the parking lot and start prophesying to my members. Say, Pastor, what’d you do? I got rid of them. I got rid of them. I confronted them and got rid of them because we’re not going to allow that to happen in the church of Jesus Christ. Because they the ultimate goal for these kind of people, you know what they want? They want your money. That’s what they want.

So take the oversight. Be diligent, looking at all the needs of the people in your spirit, and always being understanding that everyone has needs. I don’t care how mature people are, people have needs. And they need a pastor who will love them, feed them, and make sure that ministry is always available to them. In Hebrews 13, 17, for all the congregation and for the pastors, he writes,

obey your spiritual leaders and submit to them, continually recognizing their authority over you, for they are constantly keeping watch over your souls and guarding your spiritual welfare.

That’s what he speaks to you, that you are to watch over their soul. You guard their spiritual welfare. As men who will have to render an account of their trust, do your part. So serve God by serving the flock willingly. He says, Don’t do it for money. Don’t be a hireling. No, money comes with it, of course. The Bible says to us in the book of Proverbs that your gift will make a room will make room for you. Literally, he’s talking about financially, is what he’s talking about there. So when you’re doing what you’re called to do, and the gifting is coming out of you, people pay you for that. It’s a great spiritual principle. So charge number two, take the oversight to the church willingly.

Be an Example to the Flock

And then number three, he says, or verse three rather, not number three. He says, Neither is being lords over God’s heritage. In Micah chapter 6 and verse 8, he writes,

He hath showed thee, O man, what is good, and what doth the Lord require of you, but to do justly, to love mercy, to walk humbly with thy God.

Humility is one of the greatest strengths of living by faith. We don’t have a lot of humility in the world today. We see it in entertainment, we see it in the sports world. We see it in the church. We see it everywhere where there is pride and arrogance and doing their own thing. I have learned that many churches in America now are just churches of entertainment. They are pulling people in and just entertaining people. BCA will never be like that. This is a church that ministers God’s grace, God’s word, God’s goodness. So we have to stay humble. One of the things, again, that we don’t have in our, I think the number one problem in the world today is lack of respect for God. There’s no honor of God in the world. And so honor and humility run together. That when we are humble, we honor God. We put God first place. We put His Word first place. We make sure that people understand that this is a church based on the integrity of God’s word as we humble ourselves before Him. So, David and Jordan, always be an example in humility and service.

And then he says to us to be an example to the flock. In Jeremiah 3 15, God says, I will give you spiritual shepherds after my own heart in the final time, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding and judgment. I believe that you too, just like your mentors, you’re after God’s heart. You have his heart. That’s what the people need to see. They don’t need to see you too. They need to see God’s heart in your heart. And that’s when you come to this church, that’s what you see. You see and realize the heart of God. How God reaches out to you through these magnificent pastors and pastoral staff. They reach out to you with God’s heart, touching you because God loves you and because they love you and they humble themselves before God. They seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness. They are men and women who study the word of God and proclaim the word of God to you, the goodness of God. So charge number three, be an example. Live your life uprightly with integrity.

Moved With Compassion

And then finally, in closing, in Matthew chapter 9, verse 36.

When Jesus saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd.

Notice the heart of Jesus. When people are moved with compassion from their inner man, it causes them to reach out and do good, to touch people’s lives, to make a difference for people. And see, we’re all in the people business. We’re not in the religion business. We’re not even really in the quote church business. We’re in the people business. Because you know what? Only one going to heaven is people. God loves people. We love people. And pastors Townsley and David and Jordan love people because we’re in the people business. We smile at people. We love people. We’re not just pastors in the pulpit. We’re pastors all around the town when we’re out in the city during the day. We love people, we touch people, we’re not afraid of people. We don’t get offended easily. We love them. We’re an example to them, be an example to the flock. Live your lives uprightly, humbly, and with mercy.

And then also, he said he was moved with compassion for them because they were weary and scattered like sheep having no shepherd. People need a shepherd. You know, I’ve told my church before, I remember years ago when the pop singer, Brittany, what’s her name? Spears. See, I had mercy on her. I know a lot of preachers and people made fun of her and cut her down. I don’t do stuff like that. I prayed for that girl because the only thing that girl needed was Jesus and the pastor. That’s what she needed. She needed Jesus and the pastor. A pastor who will have the compassion in his or her heart to love people just like that who need Jesus. Sometimes we think people get so big they don’t need Jesus. We all need Jesus. We all do.

So they were weary and they were scattered. So what did Jesus do? Having compassion for them, he gave them direction. And then he gave them protection in Psalm 23 4. The Bible says,

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. For you are with me, your rod and your staff. They comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

When people have no spiritual shepherd in the sky, and the shepherd here on the earth, people are without protection. People need to stay under the protection of the local church.

And then the last verse. In Mark 6 34, by the time Jesus came ashore, a massive crowd was waiting. At the sight of them, his heart was filled with compassion, because they seemed like wandering sheep who had no shepherd. So he taught them many wonderful things. Notice what Jesus did when he saw that they wandered, he didn’t scold them. He didn’t bring compromise into the life and say it’s going to be all right. He taught them. And then right after this, he saw that they were hungry. And so we have now the story of the loaves and the fishes. And we see in verse 41 that Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish. He gazed into heaven. He gave thanks to God. He broke the bread and the two fish and distributed them to his disciples to serve the people. And the food was multiplied in front of their eyes. And verse 42. Everyone had plenty to eat and was fully satisfied. So Jesus, out of the compassion of his heart, he gave direction, he gave protection, and he provided provision because he’s a good Savior. He wants people under the mercy of God, under the grace of God, under the love of God.

People need encouragement today. Yes, they need to be corrected. I read that from 2 Timothy. We do need to be corrected, but in such a way that people don’t get offended. We have 60% of people today in the latest survey don’t like to be corrected. 60% of Americans don’t want to be corrected. We need correction. I pray for it daily. Lord, correct me where I’m wrong. Show me where I’m wrong. See, that’s humility. We humble ourselves before God, and then we honor God, and then our faith begins to activate and work properly. So, in Jesus’ name, I commend both of you for your life of integrity, your life of non compromise, your life of doing the right things, being the man and the woman of God that you’re called to me. God bless you. I congratulate you. I’ll welcome you into the lead pastors of this church. God bless you. Yeah, go.

A Pastor Teacher Brings a God-Intended Supply

Now, thank you. I’m just going to tag on to what Don read because all we have to go on is the scripture. We don’t make things up. We all work according to the word of God. And he read a couple of these that I will read, just the ending. He read from 1 Peter chapter 5, the charge to David and Jordan about feeding, guarding, guiding the flock. And that passage of scripture concludes this way in the message. It says,

when God, who is the best shepherd of all comes out in the open with his rule, he will see that you’ve done it right and commend you lavishly. And you who are younger must follow your leaders. But all of us, all of us, leaders and followers alike, are to be down to earth with each other. God has had it with the proud.

The verse says, God resists the proud. There’s not a person in the world that wants to be resisted by God. None of us will survive that. So we humble ourselves by following one another by following God.

And to the church, I would just remind you of this. This office that Don has spoken to of us about from Ephesians chapter four, the office of pastor teacher, is for far more than officiating weddings and funerals. In the world today, that’s pretty much all people think they ever need a pastor for. I’m gonna get married, I guess we better find a pastor. Somebody died, we’re gonna need a pastor. We all of us have been honored to conduct many a wedding and many a funeral, and it’s an honor to be invited into people’s best days and their worst days. But if that is the only time that you see a need for a pastor, you and I are missing out on the fullness of what God intended. A pastor teacher brings a God intended supply into our lives. Don spoke so beautifully about this. The pastor teacher among these other offices are gifts. They’re gifts from God to us for our equipping. That is the purpose. So I urge you to not allow your perception of a pastor to be shaped by what the world thinks, but lock on to what God says. Because when we receive what God has given, then what God intended is activated. When it is not received, it lies dormant.

We stand here week after week delivering messages, and we know if the message was received or rejected or ignored. We can only do what we can do. Church, you must do the receiving. So when they stand to deliver a message, a sermon on a Sunday, they are not just adding content. The words of the living God are alive. They’re not dead. They’re alive. They’re still working. They’re still full of power. So the teaching that we receive, it is much prayed over. It is deeply studied. And it is a spiritual meal that is prepared for our nourishment, our spiritual nourishment. Family, in this day and age, we are not receiving spiritual biblical nourishment in any other place. People that he has anointed that will listen to him and he can correct, that will be trustworthy to lift our lives as God intended. So how you and I prepare our hearts to receive actually determines how our lives and our church move forward or backward or sideways. Both are required. These pastors have been proven. This has not been a fast road for them. It has been a long road for them. They have been proven. They have proven that they will lead you to fresh green pastures. They have proven that they will love you deeply. They have proven that they will care for your souls. They have proven that they will challenge your mindsets because our mindsets need challenging. And they have proven that they will protect you from wolves that dress like sheep. So you prepare your heart to receive who they are, the God appointed, God anointed pastors for this next season of his church. Thank you, church. Thank you, Sadie.

The Laying On of Hands

In just a few minutes, we’re going to be laying our hands on pastors David and Jordan. And I want you to anticipate with us something very powerful. I want you to anticipate with us in this transition that that will occur in part by the laying on of our hands. I want you to anticipate a real shift. A shift that’s beneficial for you, a shift that’s beneficial for our church family, wonderful church family. A shift that will take place in our community, a shift that will take place in our outreach to a hurting world. The gospel is the message, and Jesus is still the answer and the only answer. And I want you to release your faith when we do this. You know how to do that. You’ve lived by faith. You walk by faith and not by sight. So I’m going to ask, I’ve got a few comments, but I’m going to go ahead and I’ll complete them just prior to us laying on our hands. I want those, I want David and Jordan, of course, to come and join us now on the platform. I want our pastors that have been invited to come and join us on the platform. I want our board members, past and present, to join us on the platform. Please leave this up here just for a few more minutes. Thank you, Donald. I’ll finish in just a minute. Maybe two or five.

It really is a weighty thing that we are about to do. And we don’t observe it that way. Unfortunately, in many of our churches any longer, it’s more just a ceremonial action that we take. But it’s so much more than that. Laying on of hands is listed as part of our foundational beliefs as Christians. In Hebrews in chapter 6, we normally think about the laying on of hands being praying for people, praying for sick people, and not what we’re about to do this morning. But it is intended to include what we’re about to do this morning and to speak to that issue. Again, to teach us, to educate us, to get it to ready us, prepare us for transitions just like this that are a must in the body of Christ if we’re going to continue to grow, continue to reach further, and continue to do the greater works that Jesus said we would do as believers.

And so what we’re going to look at or expect to happen today, we’re going to see a transition from what has been invisible to being visible. What God has planned, what God has seen. You remember Moses, he had a heavenly view of the tabernacle before he built it. Hebrews teaches us that. So that’s one transition from what is was invisible and hidden. Now it’s going to be made visible. It’s just another way that God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

The second way, the second transition we recognize is one from being very personal to something now being public. There’s a reason that Moses didn’t lay hands on Joshua in the privacy of the tent. As we’ve all wanted to be a part of this transition, to get under you, to support you, to speak for you. So it doesn’t all come on you. And so what was private and personal now becomes again very public. What we anticipate as we lay hands on you is this in this transition, the second one. That you will be you that people will begin to see you. You will know this even deeper, but people will begin to see you as someone who’s been authorized by God by the laying on of hands. Again, not just a you’re not this isn’t you haven’t won a popularity contest, right? This is something that God has anointed you to do. And so by the laying on of hands, that transition happens, invisible to visible, very personal and private. Now to public, you’re authorized by God. But it also says that God is, he has set you in this place to supervise, partner with him to supervise and protect and care for the flock, as Pastor Don spoke to this morning. And then lastly, on that issue, it’s intended by the laying on of hands, it’s intended for all of us to accept God’s approval on you for this. God is the one. And I’ve tried to do this for you because someone did it for me. It’s easier to please God than it is to please people. And so you always want to be a God pleaser and never fear people. These people support you. They love you. They’re not going to work against you, right, church family. They’re not going to work against you. They’re going to be in your corner. They’re going to have your back. If they need to talk to you about something, they’ll come to you. They won’t go to somebody else. They’ll come sit down with you. Okay. But this is a sign of God’s approval, this laying on of hands. That’s what God, one of the things that God intended for it to be.

Now it becomes memorable. In other words, it becomes something that we always celebrate. We’re not just celebrating it today, this day in September 2024. It’s something that we’re going to carry in the future. We’re just never going to forget it. It’s our minds are always going to recall this wonderful thing that is happening today. Amen. When we use our minds right, especially concerning our memory, then the future can be well managed. Paul referred to that when he said we need to forget certain things. But we need to remember other things and press forward and press on. So all of that just in the laying on of hands. And again, it’s just well, we’re doing it out here. We’re doing it where everybody can see it, who can see. We want people to perceive it for what it really is and really feel the weight of what is happening today. Would you stand to your feet with us, please? I invite all of you to the staff is to come and family is also joining us this morning on platform. What a beautiful group of people, wouldn’t you say? Donald, yeah. Thank you, sir. I invite you, I encourage you to stretch out your hands toward us as we pray. You’re such again. We’ve recognized and acknowledged special guests, but you’re all so important. Just, you know, we can’t just bring you all on the platform. You have a platform where you are. Stretch out your hands. Pray with us as we pray in Jesus’ name. Don’t step up here. Let’s pray.

Installation Prayer

Our Father, we come before you in Jesus’ precious name, honoring you, exalting you, thanking you for this momentous occasion. Father, we thank you for Jesus. We thank you that Jesus said, I’m gonna build my church, and that the gates of hell will not prevail against her. And we thank you, Jesus, you have raised up apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip the saints to do the work of the ministry. We thank you today, Lord, for Pastors David and Jordan. Father, we know that you have known them from the foundation of the world, that this occasion was in your heart eons ago, that you planned this, that you’ve provided for it. Father, your word tells us how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed to the devil, for God was with him. Father, we know that your word tells us that your anointing lifts every burden, it destroys every yoke of bondage. Father, we thank you for the anointing of God that you have placed upon this couple. We thank you, Lord God, that you saw it again, eons ago, before the foundation of the world, and that you’ve provided for them to be anointed, to know you, to know their church, to know their city, to know, Lord, what they’re called to and what they’re called for. And to today, Father, we lay hands on them in faith, making that importation into each of their lives. Holy Spirit, that you are manifesting your will in and through their lives, in and through Believers Center of Albuquerque. That you manifest the grace of God, that you give them the favor of God, that you give them help every single day, that your blessing is upon them. How God has anointed Jesus of Nazareth has also anointed David and Jordan with the Holy Spirit and with power, who will go about doing good and healing all that are oppressed to the devil. For God is with them. We bless them with the Abrahamic blessing. They’re blessed to be a blessing. Thanking you also that Ephesians 1 3 says, they are blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. And we believe that what they set their hand to, God, you will have already determined what they will set their hand to, and it will prosper. They will go forward in the might and the dominion and the authority of Almighty God by the Holy Spirit. So we install them today as the lead pastors of Believer’s Center of Albuquerque, all in two, and for the glory of God in Jesus’ name, amen.

So, Father, I pray for Pastor David and Pastor Jordan, and I pray that more than ever that they will hear clearly, distinctly what the Holy Spirit is saying to the Church of Jesus Christ. So many voices, so many opinions, but they only need to hear what is the Spirit saying to the church to lead the church as God intended. So Father, I ask you that for both of them. I know they hear your voice, I know they know your voice, and I pray that from this day forward, your voice to each of them will have a clear, distinct pitch. It will be a different pitch, and they will know it is you deep in their innermost being, and your voice will lead them, so they will lead us in the way we should go. Thank you, God. Faithful then, faithful now, always faithful, God.

Father would settled the heart of the Apostle Paul, possibly more than any other great revelation that he received was the one on grace. And I pray that for this couple, they’ve heard the message, they’ve taught the message, they’ve lived the message. But I pray for an abounding, ever abounding awareness that the grace that you give truly is sufficient. And that with everything that they face on this new step, new journey, they will know that. Deeply know that. The Holy Spirit will bring it to their remembrance. They’ll never be without it because they’ll never be without the help of the Holy Spirit. Pray, God, for a supernatural release and freedom and liberty for them in ministry. That what you’ve deposited in them, you continue to develop in them now. That God, the word will have free course. But the voice of God as Cindy prayed will be prominent. It’ll be the final word for them in everything they say, every action they take as they lead the church. Always into the future. From this day forward, God, with everything now that they’ll need to handle and deal with, it’s their anointing that covers it. You’ve anointed them to feed, you’ve anointed them to lead. God to protect. And I thank you, God, that they’ll always do it with clear eyes and a clear heart. And they’ll always know your grace and always know the support of the Spirit. In the name of Jesus. There will never be a question that will not be answered as they ask for your help in leading your flock in Jesus’ name. We set them into officially set them today into this new position as lead pastors of this community of faith, the Believer Center of Albuquerque. We honor them. We welcome them. We open our hearts to them and know that as we do, we’re also opening our heart to the one who gave the gift to us of David and Jordan Eifert. So we receive them by faith. And we thank you, God, for putting it on our heart to always encircle them with our love, our support, standing again between them and the enemy that would work to take them down or out. No. Today we say it, and every day afterwards we say it no in the name of Jesus. So thank you, Father, for what for the invisible that now becomes the visible, for the private and personal that now becomes public. And what is a precious moment that will be a part of our memories forever. We pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Elevation Is Happening in This Place

Pastor Phil Valdez is welcome him. He has a special something for David and Jordan. Would you all remain standing for just a moment? Would you keep playing? Because I feel the Holy Spirit in this place. There’s elevation happening in this room today. And it’s not just for this couple and these people, but it’s for this church. Come on, elevation is happening in this place today. You’re being elevated. You know, when pastors and leaders are elevated, people are elevated. Come on, just lift your hands for just a moment. Thank God. Families are being elevated today. See, when leadership is elevated, pastors are elevated. The church is elevated today. Men are being elevated in this room today. Women, children today are being elevated. Holy Spirit, we honor you. Father, we follow your plans, not our plans. And we love you. And we thank you, Father God, for elevation in this house. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Would you just be seated? I’m gonna ask the keyboard player to just keep playing. And is that okay if I all right? I’m gonna I just have a few notes and put it on the pulpit here real quick. Do you love your pastors? Would you give them a great round of applause real quick?

I want to present a gift to our great friends. But before I do that, I just want to say a couple words if that’ll be okay. I was praying for today, and I believe today is such a day of elevation, not just for them, but for this house. God is elevating this house. There’s a shift happening. How many of you feel that in this place today? Come on, say it. It’s for me today, too. It’s for me. And Pastor Marshall and Cindy, when I was praying about this day today, today you God puts you on my heart, both of you, because as you are elevating them, God’s elevating you too today. You know the Bible says that when yeah, you can give them a great round of applause. They we honor them and we the Bible says a generous person will prosper. Those who refresh others, they themselves will be refreshed. But you know what? When you elevate other people, God elevates you. And today, as you are elevating these young pastors, today is a new day for you because God is elevating you today. You have been faithful over little, and God is removing the lid of capacity over your life. Not that it was small, but more is coming to your life in the name of Jesus Christ today, and to whom much is given, much is required.

See, my church family, can I just tell you today? God is building leadership in this house for the growth that’s about to take place. God always makes sure the foundation is ready before the growth happens. You are not losing, you are adding today. Just like a young lady, when she is about to get married, the parents are not losing the daughter, they are gaining the son. Today you are gaining more pastors. Can I hear a good amen today? And as if you have made a decision to promote them, God is promoting you today. I was not thinking about saying this. I was actually just praying for them, and you came to my heart.

Pastor Marshall, sir, you are a pastor’s pastor. You are a hidden gem of wisdom to the body of Christ. And God is about to reveal you to the world, sir. Resources such as books, mentorship materials are going to begin to flow from your hands, sir. If you were to start a pastor’s network, it would be a success. God is elevating you today. Is this okay, everybody?

Pastor Cindy, I see you traveling. I see you beginning a mighty women’s ministry. I heard the Lord say, Yeah, you can give her, you can clap whenever, because it’s truly an honor. I heard the Lord say, You have weathered some intense storms very maturely. And outside looking in, no one even knows how you how well you handled things. But as you begin to minister to women and people, you’re gonna share your story. And that anointing is gonna power empower people and set people free. Listen, listen, my church family. When the devil sends and tries to make a mess, God can turn that mess into our greatest message. And you’re gonna share some things that people are like, how did you? We didn’t even know that you were going through that. And it’s gonna help set people free. Pastor Cindy, I see 10 to 12 powerful women coming around you that you’re gonna train. David had his mighty men, you’re gonna have your mighty women. Come on, somebody. And you are going to train them, and they are going to travel as well, and they’re gonna come back, and this is going to be one of your greatest joys of your life. It’s gonna be amazing. You’re not leaving, you’re moving up and doing more. Amen. Amen. It is good. I believe it. I was on the plane trying to sleep, and God interrupted me and I saw their faces, and I was like, I’m just trying to eat some peanuts. Come on, somebody.

And Pastor David, you’re one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. I love you. But you know what? You’re the epitome of meekness. Meekness is not weakness, it’s controlled strength. And you, my friend, are strong in spirit. You are strong in spirit. And I believe that more and more revelation is coming to you. And that revelation God is giving you to turn into impartation to this congregation. And I believe God wants to see a demonstration of his power in this place. You have such a hunger for truth, and God always meets us at the point of that hunger. And today, you are being elevated. Pastor Jordan, creativity will increase in your life. God is giving you wisdom beyond your years. Listen, to solve complex problems, and we need it because people are complex. See, nobody said amen. Because we know.

Pastor David and Jordan. God has specifically chosen you to be Grace’s parents. You know why? Because she has unique gifts, because both of you have unique gifts. And you’re going to steward her life. And you know what? She’s going to help build this church in such profound ways. Amen. Amen.

And there’s another person that’s special to God in this family. And that’s you, Hannah. Hannah Wyatt. It’s important for you to know God has not forgotten you. He told me that. He stops people to tell people things like this, so you just know. You have chosen, despite past events, to still build God’s house. And he’s proud of you. He told King David, When you build my house, he said this, I will make your house. And I’m telling you today, based on your decision to build God’s house, God has not forgotten about your legacy and what he has for you. And he says, when you delight yourself in him, he’s going to give you the desires of your heart. And God told me to tell you this that restoration is coming to your whole house. And your legacy will be great. Listen, listen, when God restores, he restores better than before. Amen. Amen. This whole family, surprises are coming to you. Something I’ve learned about God’s favor is things start happening by accident. Some things you don’t even pray for. They’re just like, what? That just landed like right in my lap. Because God is so good. There are some desires, Hannah, that you’ve forgotten about, but God hasn’t forgotten. And he’s going to bring back to your life.

Run to Win

And as I close today, Pastor David and Jordan, today the baton is being passed to you. Paul said this, 1 Corinthians 9 24.

Don’t you know that runners run in the stadium all race, but only one receives the prize. Run in such a way to win the prize.

I love that Paul is unapologetically, he’s like, I’m gonna win. And I’m running to win, and I don’t apologize. And so today, on behalf of our family, on behalf of our church in California, I’d like to present. If someone could just take that veil off to you, take that veil off today. We want to give you some custom engraved gold batons that have both of your name on them, and they say, run to win. Run to win. Put them in your office wherever you want.

Hebrews chapter 12, verse 1 says,

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,

we don’t know biblically if what they can see on earth or what we don’t understand all that. But something that inspires me, I hope it inspires you today. Pastor Cindy and Pastor Marshall are passing the baton. But my friends, the great patriarchs who have gone before us, Paul, Moses, Elijah, Esther, Ruth, are passing the baton to us today as well. And I want to run to win, to make God proud. My church family proud. And I believe, and I want to close with this to the great people and the great people of Believer Center. When your leaders rise, you rise too. This is my favorite scripture, and I believe it’s good for this house today as I close. First Corinthians 2 9.

But it is written, I has not seen, nor ear has not heard.

Come on, everybody, take this in. This isn’t just for them. This is the word to us. We have three months, maybe two and a half months. The end this year, you’re gonna see things that you have not seen before yet.

I has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love him.

But verse 10 said this

but God has revealed to them through his spirit, for the spirit searches all things, the deep things of God.

David and Jordan Receive the Charge

All right. Again, would you please stand to your feet with me? Do you need this? It’s our honor today to present to you the new lead pastors of the Believer Center of Albuquerque. And the future is so bright. Would you receive them today? They’re gonna dismiss us. Pastors David and Jordan Eifert. Our lead pastors.

He’s crying to me really got me. Yeah. No, I just want to say I’m so grateful. That’s what I feel. Grateful to God for his faithfulness. Grateful to Marshall and Cindy. You know, you look around all these heroes of the faith. So grateful. Grateful for you, our church family. You are our heart and our passion. We go to bed at night talking about you. We wake up in the morning talking about you. And we love this church. Cause God loves this church. Then God’s not finished with this church. That’s right.

I don’t think there are really words for the gratitude that we feel towards all of you, towards our pastors, and towards everybody that are here. I can’t put words to it all. Maybe someday. But this place is home, and you are family, and that is more true today than it has ever been. And it means the world to us that you have been here to witness this, to be a part of it, because we know that right now we’re stepping into a new season, and it’s bright, and it’s beautiful, and we want you all on the journey with us. Because God has directed our steps to here. And while we don’t know everything that is to come, we know God is good. He has been good and he will continue to be good over this house and over all of us. And we have things that He wants us to do. And we all have a part to play in that. And today it is our prayer and our belief that we will all step into those roles to accomplish something really incredible for God in this city.

We Believe in This City

Yeah, you know, I think y’all know this, but Albuquerque is the butt of a lot of jokes in the nation. You know, we’re probably the meth capital of the world now, thanks to breaking bad. You know, we’re yeah, number one, I think in auto thefts. But yeah, it’s I mean it’s deserted, it’s abandoned, it doesn’t matter. I just want you to know that when I see this city, that’s not what I see. Albuquerque is not perfect. I mean, we got all kinds of stuff, but man, this is my home, this is our home. It’s always been my home. This is the city that we’ve chosen to raise our daughter in. We believe in this city, we believe the light of Jesus is coming into this city, and we believe that this church has a specific part to play in making that happen.

And so we, you know, we didn’t take this job because we thought it’d be super easy. Everyone around here’s like it’s not easy. We don’t think it’s easy, right? We didn’t do this because we, you know, it’s a way for us to get lots and lots of money. I assure you, that’s not the case. We accepted this position because we believe that God has put something on our heart specifically for this city, and we will not rest until it happens. And so we’re asking for you guys, man, to partner with us, to trust us, to believe with us, because there’s something, there’s something for us to do. There’s something for us to do, but there’s something for us to do. And so, man, we love you, we love this place. And so you’re never gonna hear us talking bad about this city. Oh, this city is so pathetic. Oh, this city. Like, if you want that, it’s cool, just go to a different church. Because that’s not who we are, right? We believe we believe in this place, we believe that God has put us in this place in this time. This is our opportunity, and this is our opportunity to do something really cool that really matters. I mean, we love this church and we love this city, so let’s go get it.

Closing Prayer

We’re gonna just close this morning in prayer. And we just want to. We had other plans that kind of fell apart. We had balloons, the devil stole the helium. So we were gonna go do something all together, and instead the balloons all deflated, and it was a thing. And he replaced it with regular air. They were up, and this morning we came in, all the balloons. That’s okay. Plans get messed up, and you just made it. You know, throw the balloons. Instead, we’re just gonna close in prayer, and we’re just gonna believe that in this moment and in this time that it moves us forward as a church. That’s been the theme for several months now, is to move forward and to move church forward. And that’s what we’re gonna do.

So, Father, we just come before you right now, and we just first of all thank you for being here with us for your presence for what you have accomplished in this house today. It is only because of you that any of us are even here, saved and making a difference in our world because you changed us and you saved us. And now, Father, we just believe that because of what you have done in us, we are going to go do something in our city and in our families, and in every path that we cross with every person, that you are going to use us mightily to make your name famous. You are the reason we are here, and right now, Father, I just believe that we will never forget that your presence is with us everywhere we go. Father, I just ask that in this moment you are uniting our hearts, you are uniting our minds and our spirits around you, so that we can accomplish what you called us to do, which was go into all the world and make disciples. And so, Father, right now, I just speak over our church, over our church family, that you are uniting us as one to accomplish all that you have for us. And we just believe that this is a time of advancement, a time of moving church forward, of moving your kingdom forward for this world to see and for our city to see. We thank you for it. We believe it. It will be done in your name. And we are grateful for everything that you have for us in the future. We are grateful for everything that has happened, but we know you have more for us. And so right now, Father, as a church family, we step into that. We thank you for it. We believe for it. And we know that it is in your name and only your name that it will happen. It is in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
